Fashion Design and Sewing Curriculum
The Fashion Design and Sewing Curriculum is divided up into two groups: Kids ages 7-12 (there is a boy's and girl's curriculum) and Teen/Adults ages 13 and up. Each group is divided into 5 levels with each level walking the students through the process of an 8 piece garment line. The projects for each level are designed to allow the students to create outfits. Here a student models three garments in the Girl's Level 1 curriculum in which she puts together to create a complete outfit. The skirt is the second lesson (1.2), the top is the third lesson (1.3) and the vest is the fourth lesson (1.4). Each project/garment will take approximately four weeks to complete from drafting the pattern to sewing up the garment.
